If you are having issues returning results on your search
, it could be that the search term you are using is not recognized by the system or the software you are looking for is not currently available on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. See the
Search FAQs
below for more tips on optimizing your search.
Oracle recommends that you use a download manager to download your files. You can either use the provided
download manager
or a third-party download manager of your own choosing.

Popular Questions
There are a lot of new terms on this updated site. What do they all mean?
Download Package (DLP)
A collection of related Releases which Oracle has bundled together for customers
Release (REL)
A specific version of functionality
License
A Licensable Product which is listed on your ordering document
What is a Download Package?
A Download Package (DLP) is a collection of related Releases which Oracle has bundled together for customers, whereas a Release (REL) is a specific version of new functionality of a product. Releases are presented in the download screen in a granular fashion while Download Packages will display relevant Release information and additional resources.
What do I enter in the search field?
The search field is used to find the software you would like to download. You may opt to search by License name, Download Package (DLP) name, Release (REL) name, or by All Categories. By default, the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud will show All Categories; however, you may select the search parameters in the list of values that precedes the search field. Enter a keyword to receive search results that match your query. If you are having difficulty finding the software you wish to download, try limiting your keyword search.
For example, if you are looking for Oracle E-Business Suite software to download, you could input 'E-Business' into the search field, opting to search in All Categories to enhance your return. All Download Packages (DLP) and Releases (REL) related to the Oracle E-Business Suite would be displayed for your selection, even those not directly titled 'Oracle E-Business Suite.'
If I entered the License that is listed on my ordering document, why is it not showing up in the search results?
By entering the License name in the search field, you will essentially be searching for any Download Package which includes that specific Licensable product. The search results will include only those Download Packages (DLP) which include the License that you have specified. The name of the License you entered will appear in parentheses after the Download Package title in your search results.
If your search does not return the results you expected, verify the License name has been entered properly - sometimes a rogue space or comma will impact the results.
I can't find the software I'm looking for! What do I do?
It is possible that the search term you are using to find a specific download is not producing results because the system does not recognize it. The Oracle Software Delivery Cloud searches by License, DLP, or Release. If you do not have that specific information available, use smaller keywords to find a list of results that pertain to the software you wish to download. Alternatively, you can opt to add an item from our Popular Downloads list to your Download Queue.
For example, if you are looking to download Oracle E-Business Suite and not finding any results that seem accurate, enter the keyword 'E-Business' into the search field instead of the full name, opting to search by All Categories to enhance your return. The keyword will return a list of results which include or reference the desired License, DLP, or Release.
What does the 'Download History' button do?
The 'Download History' button will show a list of your 25 most recent DLP/REL downloads. It will only include active downloadable products; products that have been obsoleted will not be reflected in the list. Once you click on any item in the list, it will be added to your Download Queue. If you are a new user and have not yet downloaded anything from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud, or if your previous downloads have been obsoleted, the 'Download History' button will produce a window with the following message:- "There are no active Products in your Download History. Refer to the FAQs for more information." Once you find and download an Oracle Product, it will be reflected in your list at your next visit.
The instructions I have for downloading my software seem to be inaccurate. Why is that?
The instructions you have may be outdated. Please visit
Oracle.com
for the most recent installation instructions. If the instructions provided still do not seem to be accurate, please contact the
Software Delivery Customer Service
team for additional assistance.
What browsers are officially supported?
Oracle Software Delivery Cloud supports the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 7 through 10
Mozilla Firefox 10 ESR and higher
Chrome 19 and higher
Safari 4 and higher
Other browsers may work. However, if you encounter any unusual behavior, please use one of the supported browsers noted above.
Search Questions
I see a list of categories next to the Search field - what do they represent? How should I search for my software?
The new site allows you to search for your software in a variety of ways. By default, the site will search in All Categories for the term you enter in the search field. However, if you wish to only return results for a specific category, please select the category from the list of values to the left of the search field. See the table below for specific definitions regarding each category.
Download Package (DLP)
A collection of related Releases which Oracle has bundled together for customers
Release (REL)
A specific version of functionality
License
A Licensable Product which is listed on your ordering document
I have entered a search term into the Search field, but nothing is happening. What do I do?
If you have entered a search term and the list of values does not offer any suggestions, click the Search button directly to produce your results. Once the Search button is activated, a list of results will display on the main screen. Please note, if you are blocking pop-ups,
you will need to enable pop-ups
in order to continue the download process.
I entered my search term, but there are TOO many results! How do I narrow my options down?
While we suggest using a broader term to access proper results during a search, it is possible to be met with too many options. The system will show you the first 50 results on the first screen and provide the overall number of results at the top of the list. Pagination will show at the bottom of the list - you have the opportunity to jump to a specific page or proceed to the last page of results. Using the Page Size LOV, you can increase the number of results displayed on the page, as well.
If you would like to narrow down your results, you can use the sub-headings found at the top of the search results OR try the search again by selecting a specific category.
What do the sub-headings at the top of my search results signify?
These sub-headings, if applicable, will allow you to further fine tune your search. If you have entered a specific term, your search results might already show your desired software. However, if you use a wider search term, you can further refine your results.
For example, if you type "Database" in the search field, your search results will be extensive, as all active Download Packages (DLP) and Releases will appear in the search results. However, if you only wish to see Oracle University Self-Study Courses which contain the keyword, you can filter by "Courseware" using the sub-headings at the top of the search result screen
Commercial
Software associated with licensable products that are available on the Oracle Price List
Linux/VM
Oracle Linux OS and related components/releases
1-Click
Category of products identified on the Oracle Technology Global Price List and available for specific Oracle programs
Courseware
Oracle University Self-Study Courses provide comprehensive, engaging lessons using the latest multimedia and instructional design
Documentation
Documentation in these DLPs are restricted and only available to select customers
I've selected my Download Package (DLP) or Release. What's next?
After you've selected the item you wish to download, it will be added to your Download Queue, which will begin to populate once your first selection has been made. You may add multiple items to your Download Queue. If you wish to view the contents of your Download Queue before proceeding, click the 'View' button for a "sneak peek". When you are finished selecting software for download, click on the 'Continue' to assign platforms to the entities selected.
How do I select other Release versions?
After you have entered your search term in the search field, all available Release versions will appear in the search results. Select a specific version of the Download Package (DLP) or Release and add it to your Download Queue. If you wish to add more than one version to your Download Queue, you will be allowed to do so. When you have finished selecting your software and wish to proceed, the selected versions of the Download Packages (DLP) and Releases will appear in the Download Queue. You will have the ability remove any unwanted Releases if they were added to the Download Queue in error.

Navigation Questions
What is a Download Queue?
Oracle Software Delivery Cloud's Download Queue is the list of software that you have selected and are preparing for download. All of the items that were chosen on the Search screen will appear in your Download Queue. It is within the Download Queue that you will select platform(s) for each of your Releases.
Do I have to choose a platform for every Release in my Download Queue?
Yes, you will not be allowed to continue unless a platform has been assigned to each applicable line item. Only those platforms with which the individual Release is compatible will display on the lists of values. Documentation Releases do not require a platform. In order to expedite the process, you can opt to assign the same platform to all Releases within a Download Package by selecting it in the first Release selection. When all of your information is input, the Continue button will turn blue and you will be able to proceed.
What is a Documentation Release?
A Documentation Release typically accompanies the main software download and provides useful information to you, the customer. Depending on the Product, the Documentation Release may include a ReadMe, Installation Instructions, or other helpful documents.
If you include a Documentation Release in your Download Queue, the platform will not be necessary as the document will be universally downloadable. When all of your information is input, the Continue button will turn blue and you will be able to proceed.
What is a Language Supplement Release?
Some Products include a Language Supplement Release which assists in the download of the software in various languages. If you have selected a Product which includes a Language Supplement, instead of selecting a platform in your Download Queue, you will need to select your specific Language. When all of your information is input, the Continue button will turn blue and you will be able to proceed.
How do I consent to these Terms and Restrictions?
After you have assigned platforms to all of the Releases in your Download Queue, you will be presented with the applicable Terms and Restrictions for downloading Oracle Products. Please read the license agreement(s) carefully and click the box at the bottom left of all applicable windows to accept - "I accept the terms in the license agreement." The Continue button will be enabled once all terms are accepted.
Once I get to the Download page, a survey keeps popping up and blocking my view. How do I dismiss it?
The customer survey which presents itself at the download portion of your user experience was created to gather feedback from our most important customers. Please take a moment or two to share your experience with the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud team. If you do not wish to take the survey, the red X at the top left of the pop up screen will dismiss it completely.
If you opt to complete the survey after your download experience is finalized, click on the Feedback button on the right side of the screen.
Download and Installation Questions
What is a download manager?
A
download manager
is an application that enables you to download multiple files at the same time and to pause or resume file download. Download managers can help if you are having trouble completing a download, or want to queue up several files for unattended downloading.
The Oracle Software Delivery Cloud has a built-in download manager that you can use to download multiple files. Alternately, you may use a third-party download manager. While Oracle does not provide or certify the use of any third-party download manager, we recommend choosing one that is rated for the file size that you are downloading.
Does Oracle provide a download manager?
If you have more than one download file, Oracle provides a download manager by Solid State Networks, which is launched automatically when you select the 'Download' button on the Download page. This provided download manager is only certified for use on Microsoft Windows and Apple MAC OSX platforms.
The Oracle Download Manager provided by Solid State Networks is a single purpose, disposable download manager that does not get installed on your computer system; there is nothing to uninstall. The program runs from the 'Save To' location and is easily removed by deleting the program from the directory.
Each time you return to the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud to download software, you will re-launch the download manager.
How do I use the Download Manager?
After you have determined which Filesets you would like to download, click the Download button on the final screen to launch the download manager. Depending on your browser, you will either be prompted to 'Save File' or the download manager will begin to download in your browser download folder. Select a temporary location to save the download manager. The download will not begin until you have opened the executable file. If you wish to monitor the process, the queued list of Filesets will appear with their individual progress within the download manager window.
If you wish to stop the download manager at any time, simply close the window. Your downloads WILL NOT resume if reopened.
Can I pause the download process after I've opened the download manager file?
Yes, you can pause individual Filesets as they are downloaded, but the ability to pause the entire process is not yet accessible. If you wish to pause the download, you will need to click the pause button on each Fileset as it begins to download. If the Fileset is in 'Queued' status, you will not be able to pause it until it begins to download.
When I attempt to use the download manager, I am presented with a Web Authentication Login screen. What do I do?
Most likely, you have run into a proxy server, which is managed by your corporation or company. The Solid State Networks download manager is a client application. When a client application makes a request to the internet and the computer on which it is installed is configured to make requests first to a proxy server, the client computer needs to authenticate first. Solid State Networks download manager supports the ability to enter and pass authentication credentials to the proxy server in order to pass through.
The Web Authentication login screen will prompt for your Username and Password depending on the proxy server set up. At this point, you will need to reach out to your IT department to identify which proxy server you are being sent through and which Username and Password is being required. Providing them with the Server and Realm information (found in the Web Authentication login screen) will assist in the troubleshooting process.
Can I resume my downloads if I close the download manager?
The Solid State Networks Download Manager is a single use application, which means each click of the 'Download' button on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud prompts a new download manager task. If the download process is canceled by closing the application window, the download manager will NOT resume if reopened.
I don't need to download all of the files shown; can I download one or two of them?
Yes; you may download files individually by clicking on the file name. If you wish to download more than one file at a time, but NOT the whole Download Package, you can select the checkboxes next to the desired Filesets and utilize the download manager.
The 'Download' button is grayed out and I cannot click the button. What do I do now?
There are several reasons why the 'Download' button might not be accessible.
The Filesets you are attempting to download are password protected.
If you have a password, enter it in the designated box to enable the download. If you require a new password, click the 'Need a Password?' link. After completing the Request Password Form and including your customer number, our Software Delivery Customer Service team will respond with a new password within one business day.
The Filesets you are attempting to download require an order number.
If you have an order number, enter it in the designated box to enable the download.
There is only one Fileset shown in the download window.
If there is only one Fileset available for download, the download manager is not required and thus, will show as inactive. Simply click on the part number next to the Fileset description to download the single Fileset.
The Filesets you are downloading are not compatible with the Solid State Networks Download Manager.
Some Filesets are not compatible with the download manager and will require you to download the files individually by clicking on the part number next to the Fileset description.
The browser with which you accessed the site is not fully compatible with the Oracle Software - Delivery Cloud. Please refer to the
list of approved browsers
and try again.
If you have determined that the above items do not apply to your attempt at using the Download button, please contact
Software Delivery Customer Service
for further information.
I'm using a Linux machine - will I be able to download all of my files at the same time?
The Download Manager provided by Solid State Networks is not compatible with Linux machines. You can download the files individually or use the
WGET option
to download multiple files at once. Alternately, you may use a third-party download manager. While Oracle does not provide or certify the use of any third-party download manager, we recommend choosing one that is rated for the file size that you are downloading.
Why does some software require a password to download and how do I obtain a password?
Some software is not available without prior purchase. If you require a new password to access a password protected download, click the 'Need a password?' link and complete the 'Request Password' form, including your customer number or order number and Support Identifier. Software Delivery Customer Service will respond within one business day.
How do I obtain license codes, keys, or software protection codes?
Some Products require a form of license code for installation and use. You can find information about Product-specific license codes on the
Oracle License Codes
website or in the Quick Installation Guide where applicable. If you are unable to locate the license code for a Product, contact
Oracle License Code Support
.
Why am I getting a 0-byte file?
If the file that you are trying to download is larger than 2GB and you are accessing the Internet using a 32-bit proxy server, the file will not download properly. To remedy this issue, download the file again using a computer that does not use a proxy server to access the Internet.
Why am I getting connection errors while downloading?
Intermittent problems happen regularly on the Internet for a variety of reasons. We suggest the following:
If you are getting connection errors while downloading, start a fresh session with your browser.
Close the active browser, wait a few moments and open a new session with your browser.
If you are downloading through a firewall or proxy server, contact your system administrator to make sure downloads are allowed through the firewall and that your system is configured properly to allow downloads.
If you are using a dial-up modem and an internet service provider (ISP), contact your ISP's technical support group, explain the problem, and ask them for assistance.
What are the disk space requirements for downloading products?
The Oracle Software Delivery Cloud Software Fileset Download table displays the size for each file. Make sure there is enough free space in the directory to which you want to download the Filesets.
Can I use FTP to download Filesets?
No. For various license and export control reasons, Oracle Software Delivery Cloud downloads are only available through Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and WGET.
How do I download Filesets using WGET?
WGET is a UNIX download utility. The 'WGET Options' link enables you to create a WGET download script that you can save as a file or open the script and copy to the clipboard. This WGET script can then be run to download Filesets using any Unix, Linux, Windows or Mac machine equipped with WGET functionality. (Note: The WGET download script is intended for advanced users. In most cases, there are no messages to indicate that an error has occurred. Before using the WGET script, you should be familiar with the WGET command and WGET log Filesets. You should also be familiar with UNIX file management, know how to edit, delete, and copy UNIX files, create and edit shell scripts, change execute privileges in UNIX, and understand HTTP error codes.)
In the File Download window, click 'WGET Options'. The WGET Options window appears. Note: You must maintain an active Oracle Software Delivery Cloud session to execute the script and download the files
Click 'Download .sh' to open the download dialog box. Click 'Save file' to download the shell script, or click 'Open With' to copy the script contents to the clipboard
Click 'Return to file Window' in the WGET Options window
Open the .sh file in a text editor or paste the contents of the clipboard to a text editor
If WGET is installed in a different location in your environment, edit the path on the 'WGET=/usr/bin/wget' line
If necessary, edit the path of the log directory
Save the WGET script
Use the chmod command to add execute privileges to the script, for example chmod u+x filename.sh where 'filename' is the name of the WGET.sh file
Enter the following command to run the script and download the files: $sh filename.sh
Enter your SSO username and password when prompted
The WGET download script does not provide feedback about whether or not the script was successful. View the log file to verify that the download was successful or to troubleshoot problems. The log file location is recorded in the script, on the LOGFILE= line. Possible outcomes of the WGET script:
Download was successful
A zero byte file is returned: a zero byte file indicates that the script failed, for example: -rw-r--r-- ` userx g920 0 Sep 2 17:10 V12345-01.zip. Check file permissions. You should have execute permissions for the file to run properly (example: -rwxr-r--). [Note: Delete any zero byte files before rerunning the script.]
The following message appears in the log file - HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden. (Date and Time Stamp) ERROR 403: Forbidden: your company's firewall may prevent WGET from downloading the files.
How do I extract a zip file?
If you downloaded one or more zip files, you must extract the contents of the files using a file extraction utility. Note that many of the zip files downloadable from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud are larger than 2GB. To unzip these files, you must use a file extraction utility that can handle compressed zip files larger than 2GB. Ensure the file extraction utility of your choice can handle unzipping these larger files. You must unzip the file on the platform for which it was intended. For example, if you download the file for the Oracle Solaris on SPARC version of Oracle Database, you must unzip the file on an Oracle Solaris on SPARC system. If you unzip the file on a Microsoft Windows system and then move the stage area to an Oracle Solaris on SPARC machine, the files in the stage area will be corrupt because Microsoft Windows will not preserve the case sensitivity or the permission bits of UNIX filenames.
How do I now install the product after I've unzipped the zip file?
First, verify that the file size of your downloaded file matches the file size displayed on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. To install from CD or DVD, unzip each zip file to its own temporary directory then create a separate CD or DVD from the contents of each directory. Do not burn a CD or DVD containing the zip file itself. You must have the unzipped contents of the zip files to perform the installation.
To install from your hard drive, refer to the installation guide for your platform. These guides are available in the documentation section of
Oracle.com
or through documentation which would have been included with your Download Package (DLP).
How do I now install the product after I have downloaded an ISO file?
If you downloaded one or more ISO files, you must use your favorite DVD burning software to write the image directly to a DVD to install the product.
What is the 'View Digest Details' link?
Clicking the 'View Digest Details' link on the File Download window enables you to view SHA-1 and SHA-256 data for all of the files displayed for a product. The SHA-1 and SHA-256 (Secure Hashing Algorithm) are two of the more well-known and commonly used algorithms for cryptographic security. The SHA algorithms produce unique hashes for each piece of original data; no two pieces of data will produce the same hash. It is used to verify data integrity by running a hash operation on the binary message after it is received. The computed algorithm can then be compared to the value that has already been posted. If the two values match, this indicates that the data is secure and authenticated.
How do I know if my file downloaded correctly?
After you have completed your download, you can verify that the download was correct using one of the following options:
Verify that the file size of your download matches the file size displayed on the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.
Verify the Secure Hash Algorithm-1 (SHA-1) and/or Secure Hash Algorithm-256 (SHA-256) data found by clicking the 'View Digest Details' link on the File Download window matches.
What should I do if I still have a download issue?
If you still have a problem downloading your software, contact
Software Delivery Customer Service
for assistance.
